The Tanner Times

Parents,

I hope you're enjoying the cooler weather and having a great week. Here's the latest news....

*Permission Slips - Please turn in your child's field trip permission slip ASAP. Let me know if you need another copy.

*Kids Heart Challenge - Our American Heart Association challenge/fundraiser has officially begun! We need your help to accomplish our goal of having our school community and families to know Hands-Only CPR and the warning signs of a stroke. Here's how you can help:

-Sign Up: Click on this link or download the AHA Schools app to sign up.

-Complete Finn's Mission: Watch a 2-minute video to know Hands-Only CPR, spot the warning signs of a stroke and more!

*Friday, November 22nd - I will be out of town on Friday, November 22nd. Please contact the office if you have any changes in your child's dismissal plans.

Have a great weekend!

The Tanner Times

Parents,

I hope you all have had a great week. Here's the latest class news.....

*Field Trip - Our first field trip of the year is on Tuesday, December 3rd. We will be going to the TN State Museum. Your child will be bringing home a permission slip for that trip in today's Friday folder. Please sign and return the bottom portion by Monday, November 18th. You will need to designate if your child is bringing a lunch from home (PREFERRED!) or picking up a sack lunch from the cafeteria.

*Field Trip Payment - Please go to School Cash Online to pay for the December 3rd field trip.

*New Blog Feature - I have added a "What's Next?" section to the blog. This will give you a heads up on the upcoming skills your kiddos will be learning in math and reading. Practicing these skills ahead of time will help with their confidence when it is presented to them in class.

*Kids Heart Challenge - The American Heart Association's Kids Heart Challenge will be from November 14th - December 6th. Check out the flyer in your child's Friday folder for more information. We are shooting for 100% of our students to sign up and learn hands-only CPR and warning signs of a stroke. Let's keep up the amazing participation you all have shown this year!

Have a great weekend!

Brad Tanner
