Parents,
I hope you all had a great weekend. We're all hoping for a snow day or two in room 18. How about you? Here's the latest news...
*Read-A-Thon - The Read-A-Thon has begun! The children have been tasked with reading 1,500 minutes (home and school reading) during the Read-A-Thon. This is such an important event for the school and for your child. Please help your kiddos reach their reading goal and complete the challenges on the challenge board.
*Homework - I will not be giving spelling words or homework during the Read-A-Thon. Please use that time to log some additional minutes on their reading logs.
*Red Folder - The red Read-A-Thon folders need to stay in their backpack. They will need to use that folder at home and at school.
*Class Books - Students may be bringing some of my classroom books home to read during the Read-A-Thon. They can return them and get some more if they like. I do not plan on giving out more than 5 at a time. Don't stress if they get lost at home. That will just be less that I have to pack up in May.
*Guest Reader - Let me know if you would like to be a guest reader during the Read-A-Thon. Just email me with a date and a time slot. Here are the best times to come and read...
8:10-8:30
10:00-10:20
1:45-2:30
Have a great week!
